Mima Aftimos, President of I.T.N. of Miami, said the Panama subsidiary has opened a 16,000 square foot (1,500 square meter) cargo handling and storage facility at France Field inside the Colon Free Zone in Panama and named Carlo Escobar General Manager. Escobar has six years of experience in the cargo business, both air and ocean, as well as in negotiating with Free Zone as well as local customers.

“I.T.N. of Miami has held a presence in Panama with an agent for several years, so we are very familiar with the market,” said Aftimos. “Expanding into the Free Zone will enable us to offer our complete range of logistics services to customers in one location, including warehousing for our consolidators and direct access to worldwide, multi-modal transportation. Our customers can do it all in one place, with one provider.”

I.T.N. of Panama’s facility is fully-equipped with storage facilities that allow the company to work also as a distributor, maintain inventory and easy load access for all size containers. In addition, the warehouse accommodates three full, secured containers locked inside the warehouse awaiting dispatch.
